Group G leaders Egypt, who garnered maximum six points from two games, host Zimbabwe, who lay at the bottom of the group, on Tuesday at an army-owned stadium in Alexandria.
The Pharaohs warmed up for the game with a 10-0 trashing Swaziland in a friendly game on Friday.

10-0 win gave Egypt morale boost ahead of Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe; Swaziland coach says he wasn’t surprised by the thrashing.
“The friendly against Swaziland achieved its goals, since it boosted the players’ confidence and raised their morale ahead of the anticipated clash with Zimbabwe,” Bradley told Egyptian Media after the match.
“The technical staff will focus on avoiding the mistakes that we made against Swaziland ahead of the World Cup qualifier,” he added.

The Zimbabwe senior men national soccer team continues to face injury woes ahead of their crunchy Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier against Egypt away in Alexandria on 26 March 2013, with news that yet another striker, Simbarashe Sithole could miss the game following an injury this weekend.
Sithole, Supersport United’s main striker, was stretchered off during the Tshwane derby on Sunday after suffering what looked like a muscle injury, which is likely to rule him out for the March 26 encounter. His club beat his former club Sundowns 1-0 following a stunning long range volley from Senegalese defender Mor Diouf in the 88th minute.
Zimbabwe coach admits to the difficulty of his team’s World Cup qualifier against seven-time African champions Egypt on Tuesday.

Ghana is not taking their 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifying against Group I contenders Sudan lightly even though the Black Stars beat them back-to-back on their way to reaching the 2010 World Cup finals.

The Desert Crocodiles are level on three points apiece with Ghana, though the Black Stars sit top of the standings with a superior goal advantage.

Ghana, silver medalist at the last Nations Cup and who won their opening group match against Swaziland 3-0 away play at the Baba Yara Stadium, in Kumasi.

Interim Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah says Sudan is no weak opponent and expects the Black Stars to come up against a determined side also pushing for Nations Cup qualification just like Ghana.

"Obviously we’re the strong favourites to qualify. Our recent performances have raised the level of expectation no matter the opposition we are to meet. I don't want the Sudanese to buckle down for us. We would be in for a tough match but the most important thing is to stick with our game and impose it on them [Sudan]," the Ghana coach said ahead of Sunday's second group fixture.

Tunisia currently top the group with six points from two matches followed by Sierra Leone with four points from the same number of matches played so far in the group.

Both teams ended their 2 encounters with draws, and their recent status are neck and neck, let's expect a draw will turn out.

MATCH REPORT

Tunisia currently top the group with six points from two matches followed by Sierra Leone with four points from the same number of matches played so far in the group.
Cape Verde can only boast of a point from two matches whilst group underdogs Equatorial Guinea have no point from the same number of matches.
The recent FIFA Rankings placed the Tunisians at 44 and Sierra Leone at 63.
Both teams have according to statistics, met thrice in both FIFA and CAF qualifiers.
In 1988, Sierra Leone won the first leg 1-0 at home turf and lost 2-0 away in the Olympic qualifiers.
Ten years afterwards in 1998, Tunisia walloped Sierra Leone 2-0 at home in the first leg of the CAN but unfortunately, there was no return leg in Freetown due to the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC) over throw of the then President Ahmed Tejan Kabbah led Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) Government.
There was a lull in football activities involving the two countries until last year, when both sides face each other in the 2013 CAN qualifiers.
Having gone through series of transformations in terms of players, officials and tactics, Sierra Leone held Tunisia to a 2-2 draw in the first leg third round of the 2013 CAN qualifiers albeit in Freetown, and the return leg ending 0-0 away thus paving the way for the Eagles to be in South Africa for the finals.
In the said match, Sierra Leone at home got the curtain raiser in the seventh minutes and were able to hold the visitors at bay until 25 minutes to full time when Fateh El Ghardi got the equalizer.
Desperate to show pre-eminence at their terrain, Kamara doubled the scores for Sierra Leone to make the score board read Sierra Leone 2; Tunisia 1, seven minutes before the final shriek.
However,  just as the dust was about to settle and thousands of Sierra Leonean supporters preparing to leave the National Stadium to start feral jubilations in the streets of Freetown, then came the bolt from the blue with a quantifiable equalizer by the Eagles’ top scorer Youssef Msakni in the 87th minute that ended the match 2-2.
Already, book makers and international betting companies have tipped the Tunisians as the favourite for Saturday’s third group match in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. And, although the bettors gave Sierra Leone the win, the average percentage point in 15%.
Even the Leone Stars’ Coach Lars Olof Mattsson is apprehensive the lack of international friendly matches; coupled with the loss of at least five key players to injury, suspension and visa problems is a cause for concern.
He told this reporter: “Tunisia have played nine matches recently and Sierra Leone zero which gives the Eagles added advantage. Also, too much midfielders and attackers with few defenders makes my team unbalanced.”
But, with the high spirit and determination in the Stars’ camp, only the 90 minutes will give the appropriate answer to who will carry the day.
Saturday March 23 2013 match starts at 18:00hrs GMT and 19:00hrs Tunisia time at the Rades Stadium in Tunis.

MATCH REPORT

Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi Martins was impressive in Thursday morning’s training session of the Nigerian national team as the African champions intensified preparations for the 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Kenya.
The session, which lasted an hour and 20 minutes at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar commenced at 8am with head coach Stephen Keshi moderating alongside assistants; Daniel Amokachi, Valerie Houandinou and goalkeeper trainer, Ike Shorunmu.
The session commenced with emphasis on long distance passing and predictably, Chelsea midfielder, Mikel shone brightest with pin-point accurate distribution.
Keshi, then proceeded to split the players into two groups for a 11-a-side game with the likes of Austin Ejide, Azubuike Egwuekwe, Ahmed Musa, Michael Babatunde squaring up against Vincent Enyeama’s side that included Brown Ideye, Sunday Mba, Mikel, Kenneth Omeruo, Victor Moses, Ogenyi Onazi and Martins.
Martins wowed the spectators who turned out to see the session with his pace and movement which was crowned with a lovely goal that left Ejide with little chance.
Only goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim failed to take part in this round of the session.
The coach then drilled the players on wing play and finishing with Mikel woeful in front of goal much to the amusement of the spectators.
