Cape Verde will travel to Malabo on Sunday evening in hope of snatching points off Equatorial Guinea when they meet in the third round of the World Cup qualifiers, kick-off will be at 6pm.
Losses to Tunisia and Sierra Leone have left the Blue Sharks lying last in their Group B standings and in desperate need to turn things around.
They will, nonetheless, draw inspiration from their impressive performances displayed in this year’s African Cup of Nations in order to take the game to Equatorial Guinea and come away with a positive result.
Not only did Cape Verde manage to qualify for their first ever Africa Cup of Nations tournament, but they also managed to make it as far as the quarterfinals of the tournament with several inspiring displays against the likes of South Africa, Morocco and Angola.
